Programs
NWRL offers programs for all ages to enhance the pure enjoyment of library services. Programs offered in each Branch Library are free and open to the public. Please click the event you are interested in for specific times, locations and details
Summer Reading Program
Our summer reading program concentrates on helping elementary school-age children practice their reading skills during summer months with weekly programming and incentives given for books read.
Winter Reading Program
Our adult winter reading program with contests, reading goals, classes, events, and prizes!
Teen Programs
Middle school students are encouraged to use the library through special programs geared just to them.
Family Night
All Branch libraries are open at least one evening per week so that families can set aside time to enjoy using the library together. Programming is offered twice per month.
Films
Popular films are shown for the young and not so young.
Book Clubs
Offered for adults who enjoy discussing popular titles with others.
Outreach Programming
Outreach programming such as story times and book exchanges are offered in several Branch Libraries.
Legacy Programming
Special programming made available by dedicated funds approved by Minnesota voters in November 2008 for Minnesota’s Outdoor Heritage, Clean Water, Parks and Trails and Arts and Cultural Heritage.
Library Friends/Other Programming
A rich number of programs sponsored by local Library Friends and volunteers as well as special programming developed by library staff.
