NWRL offers programs for all ages, from preschoolers to Seniors, to enhance the pure enjoyment of library services. Programs offered in each Branch Library are free and open to the public. Please visit the links to each branch libraries for specific dates, times and details.

This is a weekly event for preschoolers that will occur every Friday the library is open. This event can include guest speakers, indoor and/or outdoor activities as well as traditional story time reading. A snack is provided for all participates
Concentrates on helping elementary school-age children practice their reading skills during summer months with weekly programming and incentives given for books read.
Middle school students are encouraged to use the library through special programs geared just to them.
All Branch libraries are open at least one evening per week so that families can set aside time to enjoy using the library together. Programming is offered twice per month.
Popular films are shown for the young and not so young.
Offered for adults who enjoy discussing popular titles with others.
Hot Reads Winter Reading Program
A Winter Reading Program for adults with the theme “Hot Reads for Cold Nights.”
Outreach programming such as story times and book exchanges are offered in several Branch Libraries.
Special programming made available by dedicated funds approved by Minnesota voters in November 2008 for Minnesota’s Outdoor Heritage, Clean Water, Parks and Trails and Arts and Cultural Heritage.

A rich number of programs sponsored by local Library Friends and volunteers as well as special programming developed by library staff.
