Poetry Contest
Two categories
Children ages 5-13 (kindergarten through 8th grade)
Adult ages 14 and up
1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes offered in each category
Contest details
1. Original poetry on any subject suitable for a general audience
2. Two-poem submission limit with no more than two pages total for the poem or poems
3. Submit poem(s) with poem title and your name, address, telephone number at the library desk; through email to trfcirc@nwrlib.org (subject heading: poetry contest); or mail to Poetry Contest, Thief River Falls Public Library, Box 674, Thief River Falls, MN 56701.
4. Poems may be displayed at the library.
5. Winning poems will be published in the Times and presented at an oral reading at the Arts and Dessert celebration when prizes will be awarded.

Families of all ages can get together for a night of testing their knowledge and trivia skills at the library! Join us to play Family Feud and Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader on DVD or sit back and play a fun, old-fashioned game of Trivial Pursuit Family Edition.
April 15th at 6:30pm: Dad’s Night
Dads (uncles, grandpas and other special male friends) are invited to bring your special buddy to the library for a night of contests: casting, archery and paper airplane flying!
May 20th at 6:30pm: Wii Night
Families of all ages can come to the library and battle each other and other families while playing Nintendo Wii.
